This program aims to promote growth of the new and renewable energy sector by supplying new and renewable energy facilities to single-family and (public) apartment housing, which in turn will reduce household energy consumption, accelerate the supply of new and renewable energy facilities, which in turn will reduce greenhouse gas emissions and create a stable investment environment and market for the new and renewable energy sector.
- Owners or prospective owners of existing or newly built houses
- Owners or resident representatives of the apartment building
* Must submit the written consent of all tenants (all named owners) or a copy of the resolution from the resident representative meeting
- Representatives of the constructor, construction project, or residents of a newly constructed apartment housing
* Applicable to newly built apartments that can complete installations prior to the installation deadline

- Where joint owners are listed as owners of a single-family house in the registered copy of the property register or building register, the application shall be submitted in the name of the largest shareholder and the installed facilities are regarded as properties owned by the name of the applicant (based on consent from all joint owners).
- For new houses, subsidies shall only be made available for houses that install facilities within installation deadlines per energy source from the time of application (failure to complete installations may lead to revocation of the project).
- Installation of electric facilities (including solar power) shall be limited to cases where their KEPCO contract is for residential use.
- Buildings owned by national or local governments are excluded
- Supported facilities are for self-use only
- When applying for the solar power subsidy program, applicants may not apply for the solar power rental program
- Houses that are in scope of the project for mandatory implementation of new and renewable energy sources by local governments cannot apply for the program (buildings that have met the obligatory ratio may apply for installation of additional facilities)
